Say, “Thank You!” to a teacher this week. Tell them about these 5 creative ways to recharge this summer! Send them this article from The Greater Good Science Center, which, according to their website:
“…has been at the fore of a new scientific movement to explore the roots of happy and compassionate individuals, strong social bonds, and altruistic behavior—the science of a meaningful life.”
In her article, Emily Campbell, a research assistant for the Greater Good Science Center’s education program and a Ph.D. student in education at UC Berkeley, suggests 5 exercises for teachers at the end of the school year. She gives some great ideas for restoration centered in:
- Forgiveness
- Self-compassion

- Recognizing gratitude, and
- Using photos to create meaning in your life.
Whether we are teachers or not, we can all use these exercises to review, refresh, revitalize and recharge this summer!
